Use this press to dry flowers and leaves. Afterwards, you can display your dried flowers or leaves in, for example, the photo frames with a gold-coloured border that HEMA also sells (article numbers 6010.0090, 6010.0051 and 6010.0052). How does it work? Loosen the wing nuts of the press and remove the top plate. First place a sheet of cardboard on the lower plate, followed by a piece of blotting paper. Position the leaf or flower that is to be pressed on the blotting paper and cover it with a second piece of blotting paper and a piece of cardboard. Replace the top plate and the wing nuts. Press the two plates firmly together by tightening the wing nuts. Tighten the wing nuts firmly. Now store the press in a dry place for a couple of weeks. It may be necessary to replace the pieces of blotting paper to keep the moisture content in the press as low as possible. Once the leaf or flower is completely dry, it can be removed from the press and displayed in a photo frame.
